Transportation

A network of transportation choices surrounds the Spring Hill community. There is immediate access to U.S. 169 Highway , U.S. 69 Highway, U.S. 56 Highway, K-68, and  I-35. A connection to I-70 is within 22 miles of the community. Thirteen motor carriers serve the area with 13 terminals in the area.

 ·       Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad provides rail service to the area. Two of the community’s major employers have worked with Burlington Northern to construct two spurs to serve their manufacturing needs.

·       Two of the state’s busiest airports are less than 20 minutes away. New Century AirCenter, 175th Street and I-35, and Johnson County Executive Airport, 151st and Pflumm Road, are both county operated. New Century includes two asphalt runways with air traffic controls. Executive has one asphalt runway with an air traffic control tower.

 ·       International air service is provided through Kansas City International Airport in Kansas City, Mo. More than 250 daily commercial flights leave KCI which is located about 50 minutes away.

 ·       Package delivery is available through two ground firms and five air services.

 ·       Passenger bus and rail services are provided by regular daily routes. Carriers leave from Kansas City, Mo., terminals.
