Planning CommissionSpring Hill's Planning Commission reviews zoning requests, special permits and development applications. They also annually review the city's Comprehensive Plan. Their recommendations are forwarded to the City Council who take action. The Commission has nine members. Six members are at-large and live within the city limits. Two members live within a three mile radius in Johnson County and Miami County. One member lives within the Miami County Growth Area.
Planning Commission meetings are on the first Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in Room 15 of the Civic Center, 401 North Madison. A schedule is available on the city's meeting calendar. Persons with applications who like to appear before the Planning Commission should call City Hall at (913) 592-3664. If you need any accommodation for a meeting, call City Hall at least 48 hours prior to the meeting time.
