City of Spring Hill, Kansas Website

Located in northeast Kansas, Spring Hill straddles the Johnson and Miami county lines providing area residents with the amenities of an urban center in a rural location. In December 2000, Spring Hill earned the distinction of being the only community in Johnson County that has a registered Historical District.

The City of Spring Hill worked on a growth management/community visioning plan involving hundreds of area residents in an effort to set the course for Spring Hill's future.  This process resulted in a future land use map and comprehensive plan that are designed not only to set Spring Hill apart from other communities but also set the stage for Spring Hill's growth over the next 20 years as a premier community in the area.  In September 2006, the Governing Body adopted this plan as the Spring Hill Comprehensive Plan. 

Mayor Mark Squire said, "Although our 2005 growth made Spring Hill one of the fastest growing cities in Kansas, we are still a community with small town values providing a great place to live and work.  We are one of the older communities in the region with a rich history of independence and determination.  I think this points to our good quality of life."
